Some of our guest book comments:
Supporting Mayne Island’s Local Economy
Beyond the numbers, what truly matters to us is how our guests, along with visitors staying across Mayne Island, help sustain the island’s local economy. Every stay supports more than just accommodations. Guests visit the Mayne Island Market, shop at local retailers, enjoy meals, treats and coffee at island restaurants and food trailers, they pick up fresh treats or sandwiches from the bakery, try a flight of beer at the brewery, and support studios and galleries showcasing the work of talented local artisans.
These businesses, many of which are part of the Mayne Island Chamber of Commerce, are the heart of Mayne Island, and they provide employment and livelihoods for many Mayne Islanders year round. Tourism, when done thoughtfully and at a human scale, helps keep these small, locally owned businesses vibrant and resilient. We’re proud that welcoming guests to The Grove B&B plays a small but meaningful role in supporting our neighbours and the broader island community.
