St. John Point Regional Park

This 26-hectare waterfront regional park offers visitors the opportunity to connect with nature, explore forested and coastal areas, and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

Mount Parke Regional Park

Mount Parke Regional Park spans 49.02 hectares and was established in 1991. As the island's highest point at 255 metres, it offers panoramic views of the Gulf Islands, including Saturna and North Pender Islands, as well as Plumper Sound.

  • Hiking Trails: A network of loop trails, including the main 1.7 km loop, the 600-metre Old Gulch Trail, and the 200-metre Viewpoint Trail, leading to scenic lookouts and rocky bluffs.

Japanese Memorial Garden

The Japanese Memorial Garden is a serene space dedicated to the Japanese-Canadian families who lived and worked on the island from the early 1900s until their internment in 1942.

Dinner Bay Park

A family-friendly with a playground, picnic areas, and beach access.

Georgina Point Heritage Park

Home to the historic Georgina Point Lighthouse, guiding ships through Active Pass since 1885, you'll find sweeping ocean views, picnic areas, and a peaceful atmosphere. It’s a favourite spot for watching ferries, spotting seals, the occasional passing pod of orcas, sea lions, scenic views and beautiful sunsets.

Campbell Point and Campbell Bay

Part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, this area offers an easy walk to the point, where you can see Georgeson Island. Campbell Bay is to the north of the point, while Bennett Bay is to the south.

Edith Point Conservation Area 

Edith Point offers a beautiful hike through mature coastal Douglas-fir and arbutus forests. You can walk the middle path, or along the seaside in some areas.


Address or location: Located at the end of Edith Point Road, visitors can park on the side of the road, taking care to not block nearby residents’ driveways

  • Lush Coastal Forest: Wander through mature stands of Douglas-fir, arbutus, and other native species in this ecologically sensitive area.

  • Ocean Views: Enjoy dramatic seaside and cliffside views overlooking Boundary Pass, with sights of passing marine traffic and possibly whales.

  • Hiking Trails: While not officially developed with signage or facilities, unofficial trails lead adventurous visitors through the peaceful natural terrain to breathtaking viewpoints.

Fred and Bette Cotton Community Park (Orca Trail)

The park offers a deeply local and serene experience for walkers, photographers, and anyone looking to enjoy the best of the island's forest and shoreline environments. Overlooking Active Pass and Georgia Strait, this park features the Orca Trail along the shoreline, offering chances to spot marine mammals.
